KIDS EURO FESTIVAL 2019


The 12th annual Kids Euro Festival, a two-week long festival of European arts and culture, presents free activities to D.C. metro area children from age 2 to 12. With programs both for the general public and for school groups, more than 10,000 DC-area children and their families enjoy Kids Euro Festival programs each year. This is made possible by the 28 European Union countries and the European Union Delegation in Washington in cooperation with the European-American Cultural Foundation and The Carmel Cultural Endowment for the Arts. FILM SCREENING | Summer with the Ghosts

A film is being shot at Finsterstein castle, and the resident ghosts are sabotaging the shoot. Caroline, the Canadian director’s 10-year-old daughter, and Jakob, a boy from the village, intermediate between the film crew and the ghosts. Their young friendship is almost ruined by a dastardly intrigue. A magical children’s film about the troubles with the peaceful coexistence.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR

Bernd Neuburger | Film Director

Born in Salzburg, Bernd Neuburger studied at the Department Film of the University for Music and Descriptive Arts in Vienna. He works as director and cinematographer. His filmography include featured films and documentaries, for which he received numerous national and international award.
